Potts Wins Ironman Branson 70.3

Kestrel’s Andy Potts claimed the Ironman 70.3 Branson title with authority Sunday after posting the fastest swim (22:56), bike (2:24:52), and run (1:14:44) for a remarkable wire-to-wire win that saw him cross the tape 4 minutes ahead of Defending Champ Ben Hoffman.

With an overall time of 4:04:23, Potts led by 2:29 out of the swim, and heading into T2, had extended his lead to 3:27 aboard his Kestrel 4000. Unphased by his 6 chasers, Potts cruised to his 5th victory of the season, looking more and more ready to tackle the lava fields of Kona.
